The Traveling Exhibition: Harriet Tubman - "Journey to Freedom"

Pyrology Foundry & Studio and Found Fine Art are partnering with the Kerr Community Center to bring this gorgeous and powerful sculpture to Bastrop.  To coincide with the city’s Juneteenth celebration and a milestone anniversary for the Kerr Center, the piece will be on exhibit in June, July, & August 2024. The 9-foot Harriet Tubman “The Journey to Freedom” sculpture has been traveling the United States since 2020 and has been exhibited in many prominent locations, but it is the first time it will have been hosted in Texas. Tubman personifies a role model and hero, and we are proud to commemorate the resilience and contributions of strong women throughout history. We are very excited that this historic sculpture is making it's way to our very own historic town.
